Curve grinding technology employs an array of grinding wheel assemblies, meticulously crafted to target the specific circular arc surfaces of the rail profile for enhancement. This approach ensures that the distinct features of each arc surface are maintained post-repair and promotes a seamless transition between adjacent arc surfaces. Consequently, this technique efficiently restores and sustains the uninterrupted curvature of the rail profile segment, averting the creation of minor flat areas that might harm wheel flanges. Typically, only 4 to 5 grinding wheels are necessary to encompass the complete profile grinding process for a single rail.
